Christmas Aztec Design

I absolutely adore all the aztec nail designs that I've been seeing over the past few months. So for my first attempt, I thought 'why not combine it with my most favourite time of the year...CHRISTMAS!!'

So this is how it turned out...please bare in mind that I am most certainly not a pro at this...and if I can do it, you all can too!!

I also created a very simple little tutorial for these nails...I didn't photograph myself doing it step by step so I used a paint programme to illustrate what I did...again...this is my very first attempt, but why not eh!!

Firstly here's what I used :)

I'll put the specific polishes I used at the end of the post, but you don't have to use what I did, just use whatever you have :)

RIGHT...

Are you ready for this...

1. Start by prepping your nails with a base coat.
2. Then cut different sized strips of sticky tape and place on your nails. I alternated between horizontal           and vertical patterns.
3. Now paint gold, red and green on the separate sections to create a stripy patterns.
4. Let the polish dry and then carefully remove the strips of sticky tape.
5. Lastly using a white or black polish and a striper brush (a long thin brush) paint zig-zag patterns and dots between the colours. Lastly add a nice shiny top coat :)

Let me know if you enjoyed this :)
